COVID-19 disproportionately impacts those with underlying health conditions, resulting in a more severe infection. We highly recommend that patients attending the clinic for an antibody test consider our Silver Blood Test Package, for just £85 which provides over 20 individual markers of health, including Full Blood Count, Liver and Kidney Function and Inflammatory Markers. Don’t worry, it’s still one needle stick.
The results will be available within 2 working days, and if you have any questions, you can always call the clinic.

Antibodies, or immunoglobulins are proteins produced by the body in response to an infection. Our COVID-19 Antibody test detects the IgG antibody which typically confers lasting immunity.
The antibody test should be taken 2-3 weeks after the onset of symptoms, at this point antibodies are detectable, an antibody test run before this time has elapsed may not provide accurate results.
Patients wishing to undergo antibody testing need a face to face appointment at our clinic, as a health professional will need to take your blood sample.
When you attend the clinic, a member of our nursing team will draw your blood before a courier from the lab attends our clinic so your sample is processed the same day we take it.
The results will be available the next working day and if you have any questions, you can always call the clinic to go through your results.
This test has been approved by PHE for use. As a small, family run business, StiClinic has been delivering premium health services to our patients for over 30 years.
We have only offered rigourous antibody tests at our clinic, and have never provided any fingerprick or rapid testing services.
Unfortunately, there is currently no good answer to this question. A recent study (27th May 2020) from the Pasteur Institute in France has indicated that the presence of antibodies, developed even with a mild infection, offer strong protection against reinfection of the SARS-nCOV-2 virus.
What we can say for sure, is that if the antibody test is positive, it indicates that you have been exposed to the virus and the test has detected antibodies produced by the body in response to the virus.
Yes, as of 15th May 2020, this test has been approved by PHE. Medical Express Clinic is registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission to provide diagnostic services since 2004.
The MHRA has suspended home testing fingerprick kits as of 26th May 2020, and has advised “People who have purchased one of these sampling kits, and received an antibody test result, should not consider the result to be reliable and should not take any action on it”.
